Horse Show!

The horse show at DeMayos Bonnie Lea Farm yesterday went great! We did really well in our first hunter show (we usually do jumpers). In our Low Hunter division we placed first, second, and third in the three classes... somehow didn't get champion or reserve champion though... does anyone know how that works?

Magazines

Since I really like fashion, I like to get a lot of magazines. Currently, I am trying to decide whether or not to order the magazine called Lucky... If anyone has this magazine, please let me know how you like it!

Horseback Riding

Hi! So I'm really into horseback riding. I have a horse named Reggie (his showname is Raintree Regality) and I love doing dressage and show jumping with him. We have a show coming up this sunday at DeMayos Bonnie Lea Farm in Williamstown, Massachusetts. I'll be doing some baby green classes and low hunter classes with him because it's only his first show of the season. It's PHA recognized. Usually I would be doing more jumper classes with him but there is not much to choose from as far as that goes. I'm so excited!

My Classes!

Well, I don't know my schedule for next year (yet), but the classes i should be taking include Honors Band, AP US History, AP English, Honors Biology, Honors Spanish IV, and Honors Pre-Calculus. While I'm not sure of the order, these should be the ones I'm taking.

My summer homework:

AP US History - I have to read chapters 1-6 and there is a test on the second day back.

AP English - I have to read the following books: The Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson, Naked by David Sedaris, The Elements of Style by William Strunk and E.B. White, and The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. (If anyone has read any of these books, please let me know if you liked them!)

Honors Pre-Calculus - I have selected problems from the prerequisite chapter of my book to do.

So, yeah. Let me know if you've read any of those books and how you liked them!

Schedule

There is a scheduling conflict at my school... we're so broke that we can't afford to have enough teachers. Therefore classes are being cut and I'm very upset because they expect us to make a decision between classes that can push us academically and allow us to be the best that we can be. For example, i signed up for two AP classes and the rest honors, and without even telling me they put me in stained glass instead of honors band! I am very involved with music; i have been playing in both band and orchestra, the pit orchestra for the high school musical, and Western Districts band since I've been in middle school. Additionally, I won an award for music in school. Yet, I am being kicked out because they are understaffed...


I talked to Mr. Moors (my band teacher) and he talked to the administration. I may be able to still be in band, which would mean I could still do Western Districts), however, this would mean I would have to be in the middle school band first period. While this would not help me hone my skills, it might be a fun opportunity to work on my leadership skills, as this is one of the differences between regular and honors band.

My Closet

I'm really into fashion, but I can't keep spending all my money because i haven't been working much lately! I thought it would be a fun idea for me to keep myself interested in the clothes I already have by making outfits and posting them on here. Pictures will be up soon!
